About us
The group’s purpose is to promote the heritage and culture of Cheadle and the surrounding area in the Staffordshire Moorlands to both residents and visitors. This is primarily achieved through heritage displays and events.
The group has researched and created dozens of local history displays, using our own collection and that of the Cheadle and District Historical Society. These are mostly hosted by Cheadle’s Community Library, or at pop up venues and events in the town.
Cheadle Discovery Group is a formally constituted charity group, with a dedicated team of volunteer members.
