Cheadle Discovery Group is working with other local groups, organisations and residents to plan Cheadle Moon, a celebration of the life of pioneering astronomer and selenographer Mary Adela Blagg. For three weeks around Easter from 15th March 2024 to 5th April 2024, events will take place across Cheadle to mark the 80th anniversary of Mary Blagg’s passing.
As part of the project, on Sunday 17th March at 6.30pm Cheadle Discovery Group will present a talk ‘Cheadle Discovery Group and the local legend Mary Adela Blagg’ at St Giles the Abbot. Tickets are free and can be booked here.
